The TASK

In preparation for reading Arthur Miller's The Crucible, you will be expected to explore various  events and aspects of Puritan life in the 1600s.  You will also research  the author's biography and relate your discoveries to the literary themes to be studied. Consider this as you study: Why did Arthur Miller write about an event 250 years after it happened? What is the big deal about the Salem Witch Trials?  What makes The Crucible a timeless piece of literature?

You will be assigned to a group that will plan a presentation with visual aides to instruct your classmates about your particular topic of study. Your group will focus on one of the process tabs indicated at the top of this page. You will also submit specific information to be included on the literature piece's final assessment.
